Wendy J. Carman
|
Wendy J. Carman has been with i3 Drug Safety since 2004. She received a Master of Public Health in Biostatistics and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Prior to joining i3, Dr. Carman’s research focused on the epidemiology of chronic disease with emphasis on coronary heart disease, obesity and diabetes. She has over 25 years of experience in the design, management and analysis of longitudinal observational studies of chronic disease. Her extensive experience includes analyzing longitudinal data associated with cardiovascular events and mortality, determining predictors of osteoarthritis, directing a community based cancer registry and managing a community-based pregnancy study. Dr. Carman’s research at i3 Drug Safety has included providing epidemiologic and analysis support for a large benign prostate disease registry, statistical support for epilepsy studies in adults and children, as well as support for the pharmacovigilance activities of i3 Drug Safety. She has written or co-authored 20 peer-reviewed articles. |
